Bubbles

The company I work for, re-created this advert for their showreel. Permittion was given because we do Pre-vis work for the advertising agency. I did all rigging and animation in these 2 scenes. I also animated the foam in 3ds max using PFlow.

Storm Trooper

I did all animation, rigging and lighting. It's all key frame animation. I got the model from here.

Pump

Some animation I did for an advertising agency. I did the rigging and animation for the pump. I rigged and animated the can with progressive morph targets. I only used modifiers for this one... no max bones were used.

Mr Beast

This is a small freelance job. I can't show the mesh because of a disclosure agreement. I rigged and skinned the character with Character Stuidio in 3ds Max. The ball was rigged with a combination of a space warp modifier and spline controller.

Jack Russell

Jack Russell animation for a company showreel. Rigged and animated with max bones.

X Wing

An X-Wing flies through cloud with an abrupt ending.
I wanted to learn some 3DS Max particles and I found a nice little tut here about some cloud particles. Thanks to Jonas Ussing on The Area website. After doing this tut I thought it looked pretty good and that I should add to it... Well 5 months later, it's done.

I did all of it in my spare time after work. I used an X-Wing model care of the lovely geeks at WOLF 359. I rendered separate passes out of Max and comp'ed then together in Fusion. A very steep learning curve there.
It's all Scanline rendering as the technique from the tut required this. So it was just a simple matter of putting in a Sun light and an ambient light for the x-wing. The Thrusters were also done with Max particles along with the explosion.

Stereo Alive

Stereo Alive
I recently modelled a stereo and thought I'd add a bit more life to it. All the Post Production was completed in After Effects as I wanted to learn how to use the program better. The screen was firstly drawn in Illustrator, exported to Flash for the animated Bars and tracked to the background image. Modelled in Max 2009, textures in Photoshop.

11 Second Club Competion

11 Second Club Entry
It was my first attempt at animating an acting scene. I found it extremely fun, especially doing the video reference. I came 30 out 129. Voice from Bell Book and Candle.
